Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! 🐣🐑🌻

I hope your easter weekend is filled with lots of easter eggs and time spent with your families.

How cute is this Easter basket? I bought this for my niece as I was too busy to make my own for her.

It’s the time of year where I wish I had kids to do easter egg hunting and put up lots of decorations. I’m hoping in the near future this will happen!

Anyway,  I’m happy to say that after a whole 2 days of baking in between a busy weekend, it has come to an end and I have finished my easter baking!!

I made some tweeks to my plan from my last easter baking post so I would like to share with you what I have managed to do.

Enjoy the holidays everyone!

Top 10 Beauty Products

My skin is quite sensitive to certain products as I have exema that flares up sometimes. Different parts of my skin vary in how sensitive they actually are.

With my makeup I love a good coverage, how much wear you get out of them and the best smelling products too!

Here’s my Top 10 products in no order whatsoever. I can never choose!!

1. Illamasqua Skin Base foundation.

This is a perfect coverage for those brown spots and blemishes you want to hide. My skin always feels hydrated when I use this product. As for Mac I find it makes my skin very dry and I think the smell is too perfumy.

2. Forever tm. Aloe Propolis Creme

So perfect!! I can’t stress this enough. If you have exema like me this words absolute wonders with my skin. This product helps maintain beautiful skin tone and texture. My skin feels so nourished due to the vitamins and moisturisers in it. Please give this a go!

3. St Ives Apricot Face Scrub

You can get this for different skin types but I love how the stone bits are quite big to scrub with compared to others I feel like I can get more dirt out of my pores.

4. Lacura Beauty Care Oil

This is one of my favourites for reducing scars and helping with dry skin. It moisturises giving you soft silky skin. Perfect for after being in the shower or swimming.

5. Soap and Glory Hand Food

Working with paper all day wears out your skin and dries it up so I use this product. It’s not greasy and it leaves my hands feeling soft and moisturised.

6. Simple Kind to Skin Facial Wipes

These are great! I love them because they aren’t dry like some others and hard on the skin when you have to scrub to get your makeup off. These are very cooling and alcohol free.

7. Mac Lipstick

I love Mac lipsticks as they make my lips feel soft. There are so many different types and colours to chose from. I’m always in Selfridges for hours choosing one. At the moment I love wearing Commotion, which is a dark burgundy.

8. Illamasqua Matte Veil

Love. Love. Love.

Applying this before a Skin Base foundation makes your skin hydrated and silky smooth. You can apply this as well as Illamasqua Matte Primer so your face doesn’t look shiny once your foundation is on.

9. 2True Effortless Eye Liner

Black. I love it because it’s so black. If there was a darker black I’d have it for sure! It’s easy to apply and gives you that sleek finish.

10. Anastasia Beverley Hills Contour Cream Pallette

I have this in fair. Most amazing Contour kit I’ve come across so far. I love it because it’s soft on your skin and doesn’t create a dirty look.

So those are my favourites.. pop a comment below and tell me what your favourite products are ☺

Easter Baking

Okay, so we all love chocolate right?

Easter is one of my favourite times of the year! I love all the bright colours of nature and all the little baby animals that are about. Also, I love baking and this is a good opportunity for me to make lots of cakes. As I am arty, I like to experiment and I’m hoping to get better with my cake decorating skills. After all there’s plenty of mouths to feed so I best get planning now!

I’m dying to make much more than I did last year!

So, for starters I’m going to be making your typical easter egg baskets. Simple. 2 ingredients, some decorations and bobs your uncle! Love these as all the adults eat them too!

Last year I had made sheep cupcakes with my sister. This was a really fun decorating experience as we were trying to balance the marshmallows on top of the cupcake making sure they didn’t fall off haha!

They turned out really good. (Even though some of them look like they’ve had a flour fight). Really innocent one at the back there, definitely the ring leader!

Here’s a picture of them.

It’s shaun the sheep.

I also made a chocolate cake and decorated it in my own easter style. Recipe from Mary Berry’s cookbook. This was such a sugary cake so if you don’t like too much sugar I wouldn’t recommend it. However the devil’s food cake is also amazing! A lot cheaper with the amount of sugar I used in Mary Berry’s…

So this year I don’t know what to make? So far I have ideas which include;

  • Bunny Butt Cake
  • Traditional Carrot Cake
  • Mini Easter Egg Cakes
  • Easter Chick Cupcakes
  • Lemon Flower Tarts
  • Chocolate and Mini Egg Cheesecake
  • Bunny Cupcakes
  • Cadbury Egg stuffed Croissants

I will post another blog of how my baking has turned out!

Any questions, ideas or recipes give me a quick message.

Thanks Guys 🙂
