Over the Christmas period I bought tickets for the Manchester Ice Village.
It’s a little village where you can prebook for ice-skating and the ice village. They have some small stalls for Bratwurst and boozy hot chocolates, like a traditional Christmas Market.
The ice cavern which we had booked for, £9pp, was a tent with a temperature of -10! You really need that boozy hot chocolate when you come back out!
You can take your time walking through looking at all of the sculptures people had made. There were 12 different nods to Manchester within ice carvings for you to find throughout.
It’s one of the cutest places I’ve been to and would 100% recommend it to families and couples.
January has been a slow one again.. too much snow and extremely long days!
I’m glad we’re going into Feb now so I just wanted to share what I’d been up to over the past couple of months.
Lots of baking!
Surprise 21st Birthday party for my sister-in-law. Made her a rose gold cake and cupcakes
Mums 50th Birthday – Great Gatsby
Celebrated Christmas with family
Friends birthday night away
Such a busy few months, so the beginning of the year is going to be less mental!
On Sunday 10th December we booked to go and see the lanterns at Chester Zoo.
The weather was snowy and I had to drive through the heavy snow for a good half hour. This was first time I’d driven in snow and I almost had a panic attack because I couldn’t see anything.
We eventually got there safely and wandered around the gift shop to keep warm as it snowed.
At 6pm we took our little lantern and walked around Chester zoo to look for all the lanterns.
It was a cute little date night that I’d recommend to anyone who’d be interested next year!
Here are some photos we took..

Hi guys, hope you’ve all had the best weekend!
I’m having an extra long weekend this week so I’ve spent it chilling out as I’ve been so stressed lately! I feel like a totally different person at the moment and feel like I need a massive break away!
On Friday all I did was watch Christmas films all day and tried to eat clean! It’s weird but I’m ill at the moment as well and I’ve just had absolutely no energy!
Yesterday I went to the Manchester Christmas markets with my mum and Sister. Just love when there on with all the festive lights. Hopefully next year I’ll manage to get myself over to Germany for the real German Christmas markets.
Banana and Nutella pancakes are the best. Nutella is heaven!
Of course I had an amaretto hot chocolate too!
I apologise for the lack of photos I’ve taken this weekend.
Today I have chilled again and then went Christmas food shopping. The best part is buying all the rubbish to pig out on during Christmas time!
I’ve also been getting all my baking stuff together for all my Christmas Cupcakes and a 70th Birthday cake which I’m making tomorrow.
Going to have a very busy week but it will be worth it! I will show you all the results once I’m finished.
Thanks for reading!
Take care 🙂
I haven’t been posting as much as I’d like as I’ve been working 7 days a week for 5 weeks now. I’m awfully drained!
It’s not just work I’ve been doing I’ve also been busy baking cakes for several people. I love it, it’s just so draining! worth it though!
So yesterday morning after I had finished work I took a few snaps. It was such a cold morning, hate how cold it gets the closer we are to Christmas!
I headed into my home town for their Christmas extravaganza on Saturday. There were market stalls with food, drinks and Christmas gifts and rides in the town for children. The only reason I actual went was because there were penguins!!
My Sunday afternoon has been spend snuggling up in my duvet watching films and stuffing my face with naughty food! Oops
I hope you’ve all had a good weekend guys, Thanks for reading!
Promise i’ll try my hardest to post more often.
