Halloween is one of the best celebrations for me. I love autumn, carving pumpkins, drinking hot chocolates and snuggled up in thick Knits!
There’s nothing better than snuggling up with a duvet watching scary films! Or Halloween movies with the kids!
- The Addams Family
- Hocus Pocus
- Nightmare On Elm Street
- Monster House
- The Conjuring
- Hotel Transylvania
- Corpse Bride
- Scared Shrekless
- The Ring
- Wrong Turn
Light your pumpkin and grab some popcorn!
Valentines day isn’t usually a day I celebrate with my Fiancé. However, on the odd occasion after 6 1/2 years we have slightly celebrated it.
Here’s a few ideas of dates indoors and outdoors you may enjoy!
- Romantic indoor picnic – Plenty of snacks, popcorn etc and maybe even a chocolate or cheese fondue!
- Movie Night – if you have the props.. a cuddle fort may be fun! Lots of snacks and marathons of your favourite films.
- Valentine’s Meal – pick a fancy restaurant or one you’ve never tried before.
- Spa Day – A relaxing spa day together could be perfect if you both need to unwind.
- Weekend Away – a luxury weekend away in a lodge with a hot tub, your favourite place or a new adventure for you both.
- Activity Day – Bowling, Mini golf, Segway, Rock Climbing.
Over the Christmas period I bought tickets for the Manchester Ice Village.
It’s a little village where you can prebook for ice-skating and the ice village. They have some small stalls for Bratwurst and boozy hot chocolates, like a traditional Christmas Market.
The ice cavern which we had booked for, £9pp, was a tent with a temperature of -10! You really need that boozy hot chocolate when you come back out!
You can take your time walking through looking at all of the sculptures people had made. There were 12 different nods to Manchester within ice carvings for you to find throughout.
It’s one of the cutest places I’ve been to and would 100% recommend it to families and couples.
I absolutely LOVE autumn! So I thought I’d share my favourite things to bake during this cold colourful season!
1. Baked Apple – stuffed with raisins, topped with brown sugar and water and zap in the microwave for a few mins
2. Banana Bread
3. Warm Apple Turnovers with ice cream
4. Rhubarb or Apple Crumble- topped with oats for a nicer texture!
5. Cinnamon Swirls
Good Morning Everyone,
I hope everyone’s mums enjoyed their Mother’s Day on Sunday. (UK)
Sunday was a day well spent for us 3. We very rarely manage to have a sit down meal together with everyone’s busy days and overlapping shifts at work.
My mum made us the best Lamb Roast I’ve ever had. It was so gorgeous, it may as well of been an all you can eat Roast. 10 out of 10.
We had the most gorgeous sparkling wine from Aldi with it.
I had been extremely busy all week making mother’s day cupcakes I hadn’t even had time to make my own mother some!
We spent the afternoon with the rest of the family eating cake and sipping cups of tea.
I treated my mum and grandma to a trip to the theatre in a couple of weeks to see “My Fair Lady”
They’re both excited to watch it!

So I planned a hen do for my friend before she gets married soon! I’ve got to say event planning is so stressful yet I completely LOVE it!
We went out for a meal, so everyone could get to know each other without feeling under pressure and brought out the games etc later on when the pub was dying down a bit.
I set the table up with a ‘Bride to Be’ sign (amazon), which came with a sash and bought a personalised balloon with the date on from a local shop.
I created another personal touch that Imogen could keep. I used an empty prosecco bottle. Yes, I drank the whole thing first.
I stuck some gold text on it which I bought from Hobby Craft. And I wrote underneath the date. I added in some lights for an even better touch and everyone signed the bottle after.
I made some personalised cupcakes, another perfect gesture. These were given out to all the people who came.
Hen do selfie sticks (amazon) are also such a perfect idea to get everyone to mingle with each other.
We had plenty of games, which we all enjoyed! Had such a laugh and a great night!

@cheesefestuk held a festival for cheese lovers like myself in Liverpool this weekend.
This was such a great idea to get myself out the house to do something different.
I took my mum with me and we really enjoyed the time spent.
VIP PASS – £22
We could get ourselves some free halloumi fries or mozzarella sticks each. We got both!
We also got ourselves a free drink from the bar; prosecco and wine.
There were different stalls around selling cheese from different countries. Crazy cheese and unique cheese.
We tried many different cheeses as we wandered around. My favourite was the chilli and lime pictured below.
I’ve also never seen so many coloured cheeses.. Do any of these put you off?
There were stalls for nachos, burgers, grilled sandwiches, mac and cheese and pasta. My favourite is the melted cheese wheel where they pour it on your food.
There was even cheesecake! I had to try a piece of the mango one. Yummy!
The most Instagrammable cheese were these cheese bombs! Created as a gift originally for a friend who moved to Australia. All of the varieties she makes are amazing!
We had a great day out together, very rare that we have time to go out.
Thanks for reading guys!
Comment below your favourite cheese!

I decided to plan my work colleague a surprise birthday meal for her 50th birthday.
I spent the past 5 weeks planning and organising the night. This included planning a cake and running round getting decorations.
Keeping it a secret was such a hard task, especially when she was moaning about wanting cake on her actual birthday!
I provided a decoy on her birthday with these cupcakes, she didn’t moan!
I booked a table of 11 at a restaurant close to us, The Boatyard. Its a fairly new restaurant, but exceeded expectations.
Lovely homemade food!
Everyone was so excited to see the cake I had made. When they brought it out her face was a picture!
We all had a lovely night! And I’m so glad it went to plan!!
Hope you enjoyed the read! Thanks for reading!

A month after our engagement, we decided to try somewhere new for date night. We chose somewhere slightly more special than our average curry date, even if curries are the best!
We chose to go Cheshire Grill, Lach Dennis.
I thought it was so lovely of the staff to write us an engagement card and put a balloon on our table.
We received two free glasses of champagne with our meal, Jay actually liked it! But it was gorgeous.
I found the decor stunning, done up as a woodland theme with stag heads and pale tartan wallpaper. LOVE.
We both chose burgers for our main, well done with chunky beef dripped chips and a side of onion rings.
Absolutely gorgeous food!
Skipped the dessert entirely, but had a lovely evening with my now fiancé.
