On saturday we celebrated our engagement with our family and friends.
I’ve spent every day planning and preparing for our party stressing myself out way too much!
I had my nails and makeup done before hand. It cuts out so much time to get ready when everything is done for you. I could spend about 2 hours just doing mascara!
We had a sweet table full with; jars of sweets, donuts and cupcakes. Unfortunately, I was so busy doing the rounds with people that I forgot to take pictures.
I made my engagement cake myself, through all the sweat and blood that went into it I managed to nearly get it how I wanted. (perfectionist)
We bought a personalised filter for snapchat and had a table for “pimp your drink”
We had such a good night and a bit too much prosecco! Here’s a few pictures from our night.
My oldest friend is engaged!
I have been asked to be a bridesmaid for my oldest friend of about 16 years!
Right now, I am bouncing off the walls with a big cheesy grin on my face.
I’m so excited to help plan and guide my friend through the wedding process to her big day! I think I’m more excited than her haha.
I’ve always had a weak spot for planning and being involved in a wedding.
I cannot wait to attend wedding events and go out for brunches to discuss the wedding cake she wants me to make her!
I haven’t been to a wedding since my auntie’s back in 2002. 15 years ago! I think that’s why I’m so excited. I’m desperate to go to a wedding!
Below is the engagement gift i created for her, full of things she can use to plan and celebrate.
Wrapping paper- tesco
Engagement card – tesco
Magazines – asda
Frame – tesco
Reed difuser – asda home
Prosecco – asda
Dairy Box – asda
It appears I love Asda & Tesco! Haha. But you can buy any of these products from any supermarket at a reasonable price.
Thanks for reading guys, hope you enjoyed this little post.

Last weekend me and my family celebrated the birthday of my Grandma. She’s now 85!
I had been planning a cake for her for a couple months to get it perfect. The flavoura I chose were cherry and almond. This was such a great combination of flavour in a cake.
I bought a large white rose online as the topper. I’m not very confident in making them yet myself. So I made rose petals falling down the cake, then added pearls made out of icing.
We went out for a meal on the Sunday to The Leigh Arms. Very nice food and wonderful staff.
I bought a bottle of prosecco as I don’t drink very oftenand had about 4 glasses out of it, oops!
For the main course I had the Chicken Sunday lunch and Jay had a cheeseburger. His did come with chips, on the side.
After, we headed back to my grandma’s for coffee and cake. I was so full from my dinner but managed to eat a couple pieces. You have to have a piece of every cake at her house! Haha
She had a wonderful day, and as gifts she received some garden plants, a watch and a dinner tray. I don’t have pictures of the others! And the below is what my mum had sent me.
Thanks for reading guys! I’ll be putting another post up this weekend about another birthday and my bank holiday antics.
I hope you all have a fantastic day, fingers crossed the weather stays nice!
Love, V x
Good Evening Guys! Hope you’ve had a lovely bank holiday weekend.
Wednesday was my Mother-in-law’s 40th Birthday. I combined one of her favourite chocolates into a birthday cake for her. Ferrero Rocher.
Saturday, we took her to The Park Royal Hotel, Stretton. Where we had a spa night away with no stress in sight. Yes! I’d had a very busy and stressful week in work so it was much needed for me!
We took plenty of alcohol with us and could barely reach the hotel with the amount we had to carry. Haha.
Eventually, we got in our rooms and decided to start drinking of course! My sister-in-law had a surprise massage booked for her and we kept on drinking without even realising.
We headed down to the spa with her and left her to get her surprise massage, ran back to the room and decorated with with banners and party poppers, then ran back down to go swimming and wait for her.
Had a great time away and I can’t wait for the next one! Absolutely love spa days!!
